Job Summary
Medical Assistant in Employee/Occupational Health providing clinical support (EKGs, phlebotomy, point-of-care testing) and administrative duties to ensure smooth patient flow and care delivery. Responsibilities include pre-visit planning, health maintenance and registry work, vital signs documentation, assisting providers during procedures, medication management support, medical records handling, patient education, insurance verification, referrals, sign-up assistance, and coordination of care with the RN/ provider team. Requires strong customer service, communication, and computer skills; preferred Associates degree and relevant healthcare experience. Work involves maintaining exam/treatment rooms, stocking and sterilization, and supporting quality improvement activities across Rochester Regional Health facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree preferred
- 2 years pre-hospital care activities or acute/critical care experience preferred
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred
