Job Summary
Greet and prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and pertinent clinical data. Accurately document patient information and clinical observations in the EHR, ensuring results are available for provider review. Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures while administering medications, injections, and routine immunizations per standing orders. Perform medication reconciliation, patient education on treatment plans, and routine clinical screenings including blood pressure and vision assessments. Coordinate patient care through referrals, scheduling, and laboratory specimen collection, while maintaining clean, stocked exam rooms and supporting efficient front- and back-office operations. Work on-site Mon-Sat in Maywood with half days on Friday and Saturday.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification prior to hire
- At least one year of outpatient Medical Assistant experience
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred
- Experience in family practice, primary care, community health, or a similar outpatient setting is a plus
- Knowledge of basic clinical workflows, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols
- Experience administering immunizations, performing point‐of‐care testing, and collecting lab specimens
- Familiarity with population health tasks such as outreach, care gaps, and quality metrics
- Experience with triage support, messaging, and managing provider inbox tasks
