Job Summary
Room patients efficiently, perform clinical intake including vitals, and document history in the EMR. Assist with provider orders, collect and process specimens, and conduct point-of-care testing such as EKGs and urine dips. Maintain clean exam rooms, manage supply inventory, and handle administrative tasks like scheduling and referrals while ensuring HIPAA and infection-control compliance. Provide patient education and direct them to appropriate resources in a fast-paced outpatient clinic setting.
Required Qualifications
- MA/MOA certificate or degree
- 2+ years of hands-on experience as an MA/MOA
- 2–3 years of experience in an outpatient clinic setting
- EMR experience
- Strong communication skills
- Customer service skills
- Multitasking skills
- Comfort performing hands-on clinical tasks
- Basic office technology skills (faxing, scanning, copying)
- Regular, predictable attendance
- Background check clearance
- Drug screen clearance
Desired Qualifications
- MA/MOA certificate or degree (alternative to 2+ years experience)
- Experience with EKGs, pulmonology, or endocrinology POC testing
