Job Summary
Prepare and room patients for visits, obtain and document medical histories, vital signs, and reasons for visit, and accompany providers during examinations. Assist with dermatologic visits and procedures, maintain and stock exam rooms, and generate and submit orders as directed. Communicate pathology results to patients, answer and return telephone calls, and travel to alternate satellite clinics as required. Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year bachelor's degree
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in healthcare
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and eager to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous healthcare experience
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment
