Job Summary
Assist the provider during medical and cosmetic procedures such as excisions, laser treatments, and injectables. Perform patient assessments, including taking medical histories, documenting concerns, and preparing patients for exams. Provide wound care, administer prescribed medications, and monitor patients during procedures to report adverse reactions. Educate patients on skincare regimens, prost-procedure care, and preventative measures. Prepare and maintain exam rooms, manage medical supplies and inventory, and accurately document patient information in electronic medical records. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification in the state of Nebraska in good standing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in clinical procedures and medical terminology
- No nights, no weekends or on-call
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in dermatology, aesthetics or outpatient clinical setting is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with dermatologic procedures and EMR systems is a plus
