Job Summary
The Medical Assistant for Dermatology will assist in patient intake and preparation for procedures, support laser treatments including device setup, and assist physicians during examinations and procedures. Responsibilities include maintaining sterile fields, documenting vital signs, providing patient education on skincare routines, performing clinical photography, managing inventory, and administering medications per department guidelines. Candidates must have experience in cosmetic dermatology, strong sterile technique, and excellent patient service skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma and graduation from a Medical Assistant program
- Certification and Registration as a Medical Assistant
- Current basic CPR/AED certification
Desired Qualifications
- Cosmetic dermatology and Mohs surgery clinic experience
- Hands-on laser or energy-based treatment support
- Strong sterile technique and post-operative care knowledge
- Patient education and service excellence skills
- Accurate EMR documentation and clinical photography experience
