Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant at Derick Dermatology responsible for patient care under a provider; duties include patient intake, procedure setup, phlebotomy, and administrative duties. Rooms patient and verifies information, collects specimens, explains treatment procedures, sterilizes instruments, documents visits and billing charges, contacts patients with results, assists providers, cleans/examines rooms, stocks inventory, and trains new employees. Requires High School Diploma or Equivalent; preferred CMA/CNA certifications and phlebotomy skills; esthetic or cosmetology license is noted. Travel to other locations in the zone as needed. Schedule is 3 days of 12-hour shifts/week from 6:45 AM–7:15 PM and 1 Saturday per month from 6:45 AM–12:30 PM. Location: Elgin, IL (US).
