Job Summary
Medical Assistant provides patient care under the direction of a provider, including patient intake, procedure setup, phlebotomy, and processing of laboratory specimens; explain treatment procedures and instructions to patients; assist providers during examinations and treatments; clean and sterilize instruments; document patient visits and lab charges; communicate lab/path results to patients; train new employees; and travel to other locations in the zone as needed. Schedule consists of 3 days of 12-hour shifts per week from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM and one Saturday per month.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - preferred
- Phlebotomy skills - preferred
- Esthetic or cosmetology license - preferred
