Medical Assistant

Conduct patient intake, verify information through interviews, and record medical histories. Collect and process blood or tissue specimens for laboratory testing in compliance with CLIA standards. Clean and sterilize medical instruments, clean examination rooms, and stock inventory as needed. Assist providers during examinations by handing instruments, performing injections, or removing sutures. Document patient visits and record charges for the billing department. Contact patients with lab and path results. Rooms patients, explains treatment procedures and medications, and trains new employees as assigned. Performs other responsibilities as directed. Schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts weekly and one Saturday monthly. Ability to travel to other zone locations is required.
