Job Summary
Room patients, obtain vital signs, and review medications while ensuring efficient patient flow and timely provider visits. Perform routine diagnostic testing, including ABI, spirometry, EKGs, and waived laboratory tests, under RN or provider direction. Order supplies, conduct infection control checks, and maintain clean, safe exam rooms. Schedule diagnostic testing and apply durable medical equipment as needed. Participate in care team meetings to discuss patient care and clinic operations.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years in a Medical Assistant role
- CPR Certification
- Medical Assistant certification or registration
- Over 5 years of applicable, consecutive Medical Assistant experience may substitute for this requirement
- EMR experience and proficiency
- US work authorization
- Fluency in Spanish, Polish, Russian, or other languages spoken by people in the communities we serve (where necessary and indicated in Job title)
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience working with geriatric patients
- Phlebotomy Technician Certification
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Demonstrates problem-solving skills, accountability, and a flexible, positive attitude
