Job Summary
Conduct patient registration and intake by accurately documenting medical history, illnesses, medications, and allergies in electronic health records. Administer vaccines and perform mental health assessments to screen for depression while evaluating complex patient conditions and monitoring pain levels. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature to identify abnormalities, and perform routine assessments to ensure overall patient well-being. Manage patient access to healthcare, connect individuals with community resources, and conduct medication reviews to identify potential side effects and drug interactions. Attend staff meetings, training, and continuing education as required.
Required Qualifications
- Full, active and unrestricted license(s) in the State for which MA provides services
- Credentialing and re-credentialing requirements
- Active BLS Certification to administer Basic Life Support (BLS) and other Life Saving Measures, including, but not limited to, performing CPR and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Experience with documentation of care

Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care or Emergency Room
- Experience documenting within an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system such as Epic
- Previous phlebotomy, vaccine administration and point-of-care experience
- Previous experience with patient registration
- Experience working in a clinical setting with diverse cultural dynamics among staff and patients
- Proven ability to manage sensitive information ethically and responsibly
- Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program
