Job Summary
Medical Assistant at Oak Street Health responsible for collecting accurate patient data, taking vitals, performing screenings and point-of-care tests (e.g., A1C, spirometry, EKGs, phlebotomy), updating EMR records, coordinating care with the team, and supporting efficient patient flow in a primary care setting. Requires at least 1 year of MA experience, CPR/BLS, EMR proficiency, and US work authorization. Strong communication and customer-service orientation, with willingness to expand responsibilities and contribute to high-quality patient experiences. Anticipated 40-hour week with full benefits; compensation range $18.50–$35.29 per hour, plus bonus eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year experience employed as a medical assistant (non-externship)
- Active CPR or BLS Certification
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
- US work authorization
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to navigate multiple computer programs (Gmail, MS Word/Google Docs, Excel/Sheets)
- Hands-on patient experience with taking vitals, administering diagnostic testing, and immunizations
- Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience (preferred)
- State or national CMA license or certification (preferred)
- 1 year of experience with blood draws (phlebotomy) and specimen collection (preferred)
- Fluency in another language is a plus (not required)
