Job Summary
Ensure efficient patient flow by rooming patients timely, completing vital signs, screenings, and medication reviews. Administer vaccinations, perform point of care tests including A1C, spirometry, EKGs, and blood draws, and respond to telephonic support requests for lab results and faxing. Inventory supplies, stock exam rooms, and conduct routine quality control checks for infection control and expired items. Import documents into the EMR via scanning or PDF upload, participate in care team meetings, process durable medical equipment orders, and request records from external providers. Requires state or national certification, CPR/BLS certification, and EMR experience. Full-time role with 40 weekly hours at $18.50–$35.29 hourly.
Required Qualifications
- State or national certification (as required by state), or graduation from an accredited medical assistant course
- 1 year experience as a medical assistant
- CPR or BLS Certification
- Electronic Medical Record experience
- Computer skills: Ability to quickly navigate and use multiple computer programs to include, but not limited to: Gmail, MS Word or Google Docs, Excel or Google Sheets, etc.
- Proficiency in non-English languages as required by the center's demographics
- US work authorization
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of three years in a Medical Assistant role
- Successful mastery of the workflow in their previous MA position
- An appetite for expanded responsibilities, greater clinical experience, and a chance to truly make an impact in their patients' lives
- 2 or more years of experience working with geriatric patients
- Phlebotomy Technician Certification
