Medical Assistant CT - Outpatient

Medical Assistant position in outpatient/clinic setting providing support to clinicians and patients. Responsibilities include obtaining patient histories and vitals, coordinating daily administrative tasks (scheduling, check-in/check-out, medical record maintenance), preparing treatment rooms, administering medications as directed, assisting with medical procedures, maintaining supplies and sterile instruments, ensuring HIPAA/OSHA compliance, handling documentation in the EMR, coordinating referrals and lab tests, educating patients about medications and procedures, and delivering compassionate patient and family support. Collaborates with psychiatrists to coordinate patient care, handles insurance verifications and co-pays, and supports billing/claims as needed. Requires High School Diploma or equivalent and CMA/CCMA certification with at least one year of medical setting experience; valid Michigan driver’s license.
