Job Summary
As a Medical Assistant at Swope Health Services, you will be responsible for receiving and preparing patients for medical examinations and treatment, taking vital signs, entering clinical data into electronic health records, and assisting providers with examinations and treatments. You are required to have a High School diploma or GED, and be a graduate of an accredited medical assistant program or have significant relevant experience. Certification must be obtained if not already certified. Basic Life Support certification is needed within three months of hire. You will play a crucial role in delivering patient-centered medical care.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Graduated from an accredited medical assistant program
- Certification from NRCMA, RMA, CMA, NCMA, or CCMA
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certified, or able to be obtained within 3 months of hire
- Ability to work with people (staff, visitors, and clients)
