Job Summary
Medical Assistant position involving a wide range of administrative and clinical tasks to support providers: taking manual vital signs, administering immunizations and medications, phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, managing patient flow, front desk duties when needed, and coordinating referrals. Requires strong patient-service orientation, HIPAA compliance, ability to work across clinic operations, and experience with electronic medical records. Must have at least 2 years of experience, a high school diploma or GED, and relevant certifications (MA certification where required; phlebotomy certification within 90 days if required; CPR/BLS). The role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and adherence to safety and quality standards in a primary/urgent care environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Licensed Medical Assistant Certification at time of hire where required (AAMA preferred)
- Phlebotomy certification within 90 days of hire where required
- Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program
- Minimum 2 years’ experience; Preferred in primary/urgent care
- Demonstrated attributes: customer service, teamwork, communication, problem solving
- CPR certification (BLS) pre-hire and ongoing
- Vaccinations: Hep B, annual influenza and COVID-19 per policy
- Electronic medical record documentation experience
