Medical Assistant in Pulmonary department providing clinical support such as taking vital signs, performing EKGs, phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, specimen handling, and assisting providers; supports patient check-in/check-out, referrals, insurance verification, and patient education under provider/RN guidance; maintains exam rooms and equipment, orders supplies, and supports data abstraction and quality assurance activities; strong customer service, computer, and communication skills are emphasized; union background noted (1199-200B SEIU) with per diem roles noted; 40-hour workweek with schedule Monday–Friday 7:30am–4:00pm; associates degree preferred and Medical Assistant certification preferred.
