Medical Assistant

Provide care according to physician's instruction and in accordance with recognized techniques and procedures to maintain patient well-being. Perform preoperative and postoperative teaching, assist during surgery, and scrub in as an assistant to surgeons. Set up patients for procedures by prepping areas, draping, preparing instruments, and labeling sterile containers. Manage clinical tasks including drawing blood, entering sample information into a database, and maintaining appropriate records. Handle administrative duties such as rooming patients, completing intake, obtaining HPI, scribing exams, and preparing equipment and paperwork. Keep work areas and equipment clean and sanitary.
