Job Summary
Provide patient care within the Medical Assistant scope of practice and Correctional Health Technician duties in a correctional facility. Prepare patients for examinations and treatments; obtain and document histories, vital signs, and chief complaints; administer injections, immunizations, and TB skin tests; perform venipuncture and assist with laboratory testing; transcribe orders and schedule follow-ups; maintain clinical supplies and complete documentation in the electronic health record; perform administrative tasks and utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for daily activities. Schedule includes 3 night shifts per week (3x12-hour shifts).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited healthcare training institution (in accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes A.R.S. § 32-1456(D) or applicable exceptions)
- Minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience as a Medical Assistant or CHT
- AHA BLS
