Job Summary
Medical Assistant needed in Corpus Christi, TX to support direct patient services in a family medicine setting. Responsibilities include preparing for patient visits (including Telehealth), maintaining exam rooms and inventory, greeting patients, taking and documenting vital signs and medical histories, assisting physicians or mid-level providers during examinations, supporting other clinical staff, restocking and ensuring infection control standards, and ensuring smooth patient flow and communication with internal/external departments. Preferred bilingual English/Spanish, HIPAA confidentiality, CPR certification, and the ability to work in a high‐stress environment with flexibility and willingness to cross-train across departments. Training/credential reimbursements available for certification renewal. Educational requirement: high school diploma or GED; MA certification preferred; driver’s license preferred for travel as required. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Current, valid Certification of Medical Assistant (preferred)
- Current, valid CPR certification
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
- Comfort with telehealth and in-person patient visits
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to cross-train within other departments
- Proficiency with medical records/documentation and basic computing
- Valid Texas Driver’s License preferred, ability to travel as required (if applicable)
