Job Summary
Conduct patient intake, obtain histories and vital signs, and prepare exam rooms for procedures. Assist providers during exams, perform routine diagnostic tests, and administer immunizations based on established guidelines. Maintain clinical equipment, manage inventory, and ensure proper sterilization and waste disposal. Complete patient progress notes, monitor provider schedules for booking errors, and answer calls for the care team. Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and all licensing standards while supporting health equity at the West Warwick location. Full-time role Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with occasional evenings, weekends, and unscheduled overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program, equivalent relevant work experience, or current enrollment in an accredited nursing school with Fundamentals of Nursing and two clinical rotations completed
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Strong organizational skills
- Computer literacy
- Technical skills and manual dexterity for clinical tasks such as vital signs, ECGs, injections, and patient prep

- Full-time employment availability
- Availability for Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Ability to work occasional unscheduled overtime
- Onsite work availability at a Thundermist Health Center clinical location
- Ability to perform moderate physical activity including walking, standing, stooping, and occasional lifting
- Manual dexterity for immunizations, testing, equipment handling, and computer use
- Adherence to OSHA, HIPAA, and all other licensing standards
