Job Summary
Medical Assistant conducts direct patient care across birth-adulthood including vital signs, EKGs, specimen collection, and assist with procedures. Responsible for pre-visit planning, daily pre-visit rounding with providers, and potential community health outreach on mobile outreach vehicles. Maintains electronic medical records, performs clerical duties when needed, explains charges and policies, assists providers with procedures, prepares exam rooms, and supports infection control. Requires CPR certification and completion of a Medical Assistant Training Program; teleworking available if requested.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Completion of a Medical Assistance Training Program
- Experience: One year experience as a MA in a primary care center
- Language Skills: English proficient; Spanish preferred but not required
- Licensure/Certification Required: CPR certification is required
