Job Summary

Conduct patient interviews, record history, and measure vital signs including height, weight, BMI, and pulse oximetry. Verify patient demographics, insurance, and medications while completing intake processes and entering data into EHR/EPM systems. Collect, prepare, and document CLIA waived lab tests such as urine dips, pregnancy tests, and rapid influenza screens. Administer medications per formulary, assist providers with exams and procedures, and prepare instruments for sterilization. Coordinate patient care by scheduling appointments, managing referrals, authorizations, and follow-up on diagnostic tests. Document medical visits as a scribe and maintain a clean environment by disinfecting equipment and exam rooms.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent
  • Medical Assistant Diploma and/or National Medical Assistant Certification verifying graduation from a Medical Assistant Program or equivalent military healthcare experience
  • Completion of a medical assistant externship
  • Current Health Care Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
