Job Summary
Assess patient physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interviews, and medical record reviews to report findings to providers. Perform clinical tasks including vital signs, mini treatments, prevention services, and medication refills while ensuring efficient patient flow. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop patient care plans, determine barriers to self-management, and coordinate care. Maintain accurate, confidential chart documentation and import scanned records. Complete Medical Assistant Core Skills and specialty-specific competencies as defined in the Scope of Practice.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- BLS through American Heart Association
- One (1) year experience as a Medical Assistant or as an EMT
- Completion of Medical Assisting Program/Trade/Technical School
- Completion of EMT Program/Trade/Technical School
- Required courses on pharmacology
Desired Qualifications
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant from recognized program
