Job Summary
Conduct initial patient assessments by taking vital signs including pain assessment, weight, and pulse oximetry. Document outpatient assessments annually and record each patient's chief complaint at the start of every visit. Execute medical orders at check-out and provide discharge instructions before patient departure. Complete all documentation and generate facility superbills only after care is provided. Collaborate on comprehensive screenings, assist with clinical procedures, and provide health education to diverse populations. Requires high school graduation, two years of experience supporting HIV and LGBTQ populations, and a Medical Assistant certification.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate
- two (2+) years of experience supporting people living with HIV and/or LGBTQ populations in an outpatient clinic setting
- Certificate indicating satisfactory completion of training by an accredited and approved institution for Medical Assistants
- Basic Life Support - CPR
