Job Summary
Medical Assistant - CMA/RMA supporting physicians by delivering clinical and administrative help in a medical setting. Responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations, taking vital signs and medical histories, assisting with examinations and minor procedures, administering medications as ordered, scheduling and managing patient records, processing insurance information, and maintaining infection control in a clean clinical environment. Requires CMA or RMA certification, a high school diploma or equivalent, and BLS. May require travel to other locations for coverage. Positions available full-time across multiple specialties in Sarasota/Lakewood Ranch, FL, with additional PRN/part-time float shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Current Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from an accredited program
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Basic life support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Knowledge of privacy practices (HIPAA)
