Job Summary
Assist with patient rooming, verification, and vitals documentation while updating status in eCW to maintain flow. Prepare exam rooms and support sterile and non-sterile procedures, including surgical assistance, adhering to CDC and OSHA guidelines. Document patient information, complete consent forms, manage inventory, and keep exam rooms stocked. Uphold HIPAA standards and UVVC Core Values to ensure patient confidentiality. Requires high school diploma, one year of experience as a Medical Assistant or Surgical Technician, BLS certification within 60 days, and proficiency with EMR. Competitive salary of $21.84–$25.38 USD with health, dental, vision, 401K match, life insurance, PTO, and paid holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Surgical Technician, or Scrub Technician in a patient care setting
- BLS certification required within 60 days of hire
- Must have experience with sterile field
Desired Qualifications
- American Heart Association preferred
- Preferred completion of an accredited MA or Surgical Technologist program
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
