Job Summary

Assist with patient rooming, verification, and vitals documentation while updating patient status in eCW to maintain smooth flow. Prepare exam rooms and support sterile and non-sterile procedures, including surgical assistance, adhering to CDC and OSHA guidelines. Document patient information, complete consent forms, manage inventory, and keep exam rooms stocked while upholding HIPAA standards and UVVC's Core Values. This entry-level role requires one year of experience as a Medical Assistant or Surgical Technician, BLS certification within 60 days, and proficiency with electronic medical records. You will begin after a 4–6-week training period prior to the November 9 opening. Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Surgical Technician, or Scrub Technician in a patient care setting
  • BLS certification required within 60 days of hire
  • Must have experience with sterile field

Desired Qualifications

  • American Heart Association preferred
  • Preferred completion of an accredited MA or Surgical Technologist program
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Dependable, punctual, and knowledgeable in medical terminology
