Job Summary
Medical Assistant – Clinical Research role provides direct support to Clinical Research Coordinators to help achieve protocol-specific study goals while maintaining adherence to ICH, GCP, protocol, and site guidelines. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining patient charts, preparing participant visits with required source documents and materials, managing study supplies, ensuring timely data entry and query resolution for CRFs, assisting with assessments and scheduling, facilitating study monitoring visits, and performing clerical tasks as delegated by CRCs. Requires Medical Assistant Certification and phlebotomy experience, strong organizational skills, ability to communicate effectively with participants, caregivers, vendors and laboratories, and proficiency with computer systems.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Certification (Required)
- Phlebotomy experience (Required)
- Interest in and knowledge of specific study indications
- Excellent computer skills and advanced knowledge of electronic equipment (i.e., e-mail, computer, fax machine, copier, etc.)
- Skilled in organization and record maintenance
- Skilled in developing and maintaining effective working relationships with supervisors and co-workers
- Strong personal initiative and attention to detail
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures
- Ability to clearly communicate both orally and verbally
