Job Summary
Coordinate daily travel itineraries and transport clinicians to scheduled appointments across urban and rural settings. Prepare patients for examinations, minor procedures, and phlebotomy while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA guidelines. Accurately document patient care, update electronic medical records, and manage supply inventory and vehicle maintenance. Perform EKGs and label specimens for lab delivery as requested by the clinical team. Work full-time day hours with manageable rosters, driving up to 150 miles daily. Assist Primary Care Physicians and Nurse Practitioners in delivering primary health care in a residential setting.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or GED equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, EMT, related medical education/training program or 1 year of experience serving as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist
- Current CPR certification that meets Company guidelines
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Basic computer literacy, including EMR, iPad, and GPS experience
- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills
- Must maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record
- Full range body motion including handling/lifting patients
- Ability to drive up to 150 miles daily in urban and/or rural setting
- Ability to lift/carry items weighing up to 50 lb
- Ability to read and understand road maps
- Sit or stand for long periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant
- Six months of experience in patient care, preferably geriatric care
- Strong Phlebotomy skills
- Desire and ability to obtain MA certification with 180 days of hire
