Job Summary
Perform all aspects of the Associate Medical Assistant role under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. Obtain vital signs, administer injections, and manage medication administration in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. Maintain full competence in clinical needs for the assigned clinic or location while adhering to all regulatory standards. Requires six months of healthcare experience and six months of specific medical assistant experience, including a National Provider BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
- Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
- Completed 2 years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in a role similar to a medical assistant that includes obtaining vital signs
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in a role similar to a medical assistant that includes administering injections
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in a role similar to a medical assistant that includes medication administration
- American Heart Association BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- 6 months of healthcare experience
- 6 months of Medical Assistant experience
