Job Summary
Medical Assistant on the CARE TEAM at OPA Wasilla providing rooming, vital signs, and documentation in the electronic health record; ensure exam rooms are stocked and clean; assist with scheduling; maintain HIPAA confidentiality; communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff; perform administrative, environmental, and organizational tasks to keep the clinic running smoothly. Includes $500 signing bonus after 90 days of full-time employment. Requires High School diploma or equivalent and clinical experience or externship; certification/LICENSURE options include CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), or LPN with experience. Schedule Mon-Fri, 8:00am-4:30pm; non-exempt benefits provided.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One year of clinical experience working as a medical assistant OR completion of externship in a medical office
- Certified medical assistant through the AAMA OR registered medical assistant through the AMT OR Licensed practical nurse certification PLUS two years of clinical experience
- FLSA status: Non-exempt
