Job Summary
Medical Assistant at Clearway Pain Solutions providing direct patient care and handling administrative duties. Responsibilities include entering patient intake and provider orders into the EMR, requesting medical records, using the Pharmacy Database Monitoring Program as directed, recording vital signs and medical history, collecting patient information, ensuring patient flow, and maintaining patient confidentiality per HIPAA. Duties also cover preparing and maintaining exam rooms and ultrasound equipment, drawing injections, obtaining prior-authorizations for radiology and prescriptions, managing radiological and laboratory records, assisting with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) paperwork, and supporting staff with infection control, OSHA standards, and patient education materials. Requires strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills; proficiency with MS Office and EMR systems; and flexibility to work a variable schedule. Preferred qualifications include Nurse Aide/MA training and current BLS certification, plus prior EMR experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Nurse Aide certification OR Medical Assistant certification OR EMS Licensure (preferred)
- Knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office software
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Flexibility in schedule
- Patience and understanding in stressful patient health situations
