Job Summary
Medical Assistant role providing direct patient care and handling EMR data entry, patient intake, orders, and coordination of patient flow. Responsibilities include recording vitals, taking patient history, ensuring accurate medical records, patient education, and supporting clinical operations (ultrasound prep, injections, DME paperwork, prior-authorization processes, radiology/lab record management). Emphasizes HIPAA compliance, infection control, patient service, and teamwork. Requires strong communication, multitasking, and flexibility in a fast-paced medical practice environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office software (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including exceptional customer service
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with doctors, clinical staff, other co-workers and the public
- Ability to work individually as well as within a team
- Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Ability to respond with patience and understanding during stressful conditions related to patient health and emergent situations

Desired Qualifications
- Completion of a Nurse Aide, Medical Assistant, or EMS training program with a current Nurse Aide certification OR a Medical Assistant certification OR EMS Licensure
- One (1) year of prior experience working in a medical practice
- One (1) year of prior experience working with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Driving/Travel: The employee must have reliable transportation. Travel for this position may be required up to 100%. While the primary workplace may be closest to the employee’s home, work assignments could be in any of the Company’s locations.
