Job Summary
Medical Assistant provides direct patient care and manages clinical workflows at Clearway Pain Solutions. Responsibilities include entering patient intake and provider orders into the EMR, requesting medical records, utilizing the Pharmacy Database Monitoring Program as directed by providers, recording vital signs and medical history, collecting patient information, and facilitating patient flow. Ensures patient confidentiality per HIPAA, completes paperwork, maintains exam rooms and supplies, communicates with staff and patients, maintains infection control and safety standards, instructs patients on procedures, relays provider orders, prepares ultrasound equipment when appropriate, draws injections, ensures radiology and lab records are in the chart, assists with durable medical equipment (DME) and prior authorizations, and supports Ancillary Medical Assistant duties as needed. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, familiarity with Internet/Microsoft Office, excellent communication, teamwork, and flexibility, and willingness to travel up to 100% with a primary workplace near the employee’s home. Compensation range is $17.50-$20.00 per hour plus benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- Knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office software (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including exceptional customer service
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with doctors, clinical staff, other co-workers and the public
- Ability to work individually as well as within a team
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Ability to respond with patience and understanding during stressful conditions related to patient health and emergent situations
