Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care, including taking and recording vital signs, drawing up injections, and instructing patients on simple procedures. Manage medical records by ensuring completeness, verifying radiological and laboratory data, and processing specimens for shipping. Prepare forms and requisitions, obtain prior authorizations, and fit patients for durable medical equipment. Maintain clinical areas, sterilize instruments, and monitor task buckets in the EMR while adhering to infection control and safety standards. Provide exceptional customer service and perform ancillary duties as needed. Requires reliable transportation for potential travel between locations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- knowledge of the internet and Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- excellent written and oral communication skills, including exceptional customer service
- ability to work well under pressure, especially regarding patient health and emergency situations
- ability to multi-task and prioritize
- reliable transportation, as work assignments may be needed at any of the company's locations
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited college or university
- One (1) year of prior experience working with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
