Medical Assistant | Children's Primary Care

Registered Medical Assistant in Pediatric Primary Care at Logan Health, Kalispell, MT. Under clinical supervision, assists in the delivery of patient care and treatment according to policies and procedures and MAU/UAP scope of practice. Provides administrative support and collaborates with Physicians, Advanced Practice Clinicians, RNs, LPNs and department staff to meet the physical, psychosocial, education and spiritual needs of the patient and family. Responsibilities include receiving and preparing pediatric patients for examinations, documenting histories and vital signs in the EMR, preparing exam rooms and equipment, assisting with physical examinations, minor procedures (such as suture or staple removal, dressings, splints, casts), collecting laboratory specimens, infection control, scheduling and referrals, triaging calls, participating in quality initiatives, and potentially performing scribe duties with appropriate training. Requires strong communication, organizational skills, HIPAA knowledge, professionalism, teamwork, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a pediatric/ family-centered setting. Shift: Day, 9 Hours; full-time schedule noted. Pre-employment screenings are required. EOE.
