Job Summary
Provide supportive patient care and assist with unit/department operations under direct supervision of a physician, APRN, PA, or RN. Perform clerical functions and maintain a safe environment while promoting efficient operations. Attend education programs, unit meetings, and assigned committees. Share responsibility for teaching and orientation of new personnel within your skill level. This role requires a High School diploma, 1-2 years of experience, and National Certification (NRCMA or RMA) upon hire, along with BLS certification. The starting pay is $19.68/hr, subject to adjustment based on education and experience.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years experience
- 1 year of experience in patient or customer facing roles
- National Certified Medical Assistant required upon hire
- BLS certification Required Upon Hire
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) Required Upon Hire
- Must be willing to be vaccinated for seasonal influenza
- Must be willing to be vaccinated if found non-immune to measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) and chicken pox (varicella)
- Must have evidence of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccination since 2005
- Must be willing to supply immunization records as proof of vaccination
- Must pass a drug screen
- Must pass a criminal background investigation

- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred

- Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant
- Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant
