Job Summary
Care Promoter1, Float combines administrative and clinical duties under physician supervision. Responsibilities include measuring and recording patient vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, assisting with exams, collecting phlebotomy and other lab specimens, administering medications per physician instructions, maintaining supplies and documentation, processing patient messages and routing to appropriate team members, and providing health coaching to a defined patient population. The role supports physician-led Care Teams in delivering comprehensive primary care and requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, along with travel to local centers as needed. Proficiency with EMR systems, basic computer skills, and strong communication and collaboration with clinicians are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Graduation from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician Program, EMT or Paramedic program
- 1 year of work experience as Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, EMT or Paramedic
- BLS for Healthcare Providers
- Experience with EMR systems
- Ability to travel to local centers as needed
- Spoken and written fluency in English
