Job Summary
Medical Assistant-Certified works in Ochsner Health’s Women's Health Center, assisting in delivering patient care under licensed supervision, preparing the patient and room for visits, documenting in medical records, and communicating with patients over the phone and in person. Requires high school diploma and MA certification/ training; BLS certification; strong communication, confidentiality, and computer skills; supports patient flow and coordination with providers. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Medical Assistant Certification (MA-C) or equivalent training program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Proficiency with computers and electronic health records
- Experience handling confidential information and working in a fast-paced environment
