Job Summary
Medical Assistant-Certified position at Sea Mar Community Health Centers (FQHC) in Vancouver, WA. The MA serves as the initial point of contact for primary care needs within an interdisciplinary care team, ensuring patient-centered care, addressing clinical quality measures, completing referrals, administering injections and medications under physician order, assisting with charting and rooming, and supporting care coordination and patient flow. The role requires competency with electronic health records, adherence to HIPAA and organizational policies, BLS CPR within 90 days, and strong customer service using AIDET, with duties including assisting providers in exams, ordering of department supplies, and contributing to performance metrics. Bilingual English/Spanish strongly desired; MA-Certified license from WA DOH required; travel to other sites may be needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must have graduated from an approved MA-C program
- Must have a current Medical Assistant certification (MA-Certified) issued by Washington State Department of Health
- Must be able to perform essential duties including venipuncture, injections, rooming patients, EHR documentation, and patient education
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly desired
- Ability to manage 18-21 patients per provider per day and support 10+ patient visits per day
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; willingness to learn SharePoint, Arcadia, OneHealth Portal, HealthPlanFinder, EHR systems; CPR/BLS within 90 days
- Pre-hire and annual health screenings; influenza vaccination required
- Ability to travel to other Sea Mar sites if needed
