Job Summary
Provides assistance with examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a registered nurse or provider. Assists with treatments ordered by provider, performs select clinical duties, interviews patients, measures vital signs, prepares treatment rooms, handles basic clerical tasks, maintains records, and supports materials management. Documents provider encounters, transcribes orders for labs, radiology, and medications, and maintains a safe, organized environment. Requires High School diploma/GED or equivalent; certification as Medical Assistant from an accepted program is required. State-specific licensure/certification options include CMA, CCMA, CMA, and other nationally recognized MA credentials. This is a day shift, full-time role located in multiple U.S. states (WI, IL, MO, OK).
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
- graduate from medical assistant school or training program or education equivalency for certification
- State of Work Location: Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA) or equivalent
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent medical assistant certification from an accredited organization
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
- Graduate from medical assistant school or training program or education equivalency for certification
- State-specific MA certifications listed (e.g., CMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA, etc.)
- BLS HealthCare Provider certification
