Job Summary
Medical Assistant Certified - ONC position with Sea Mar Community Health Centers in Monroe, WA. The MA is a key member of the patient care team, serving as the initial contact for primary care needs and ensuring all patient-relevant clinical quality measures are addressed. Responsibilities include charting office visits, completing referrals, administering injections and medications, performing venipuncture, rooming/exiting patients, maintaining EHR documentation, coordinating with care teams, supporting care management for high-risk patients, assisting with GYN exams and minor procedures, and ensuring infection control and regulatory compliance. The role supports a patient-centered, team-based primary care model (PCMH) with a target patient load (18/21 per day with provider, 10+ per provider) and requires proficiency with Sea Mar’s EHR/Practice Management systems. Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly desired. The position requires MA-Certified (or MA- Interim) license, CPR/BLS within 90 days, and compliance withSea Mar vaccination policies. Regular schedule starts around 8am, with emphasis on quality care, patient experience (AIDET), and completion of care gaps. Additional duties may include QA activities, shadowing opportunities, and various organizational responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Must have graduated from an approved MA-C program
- Current Medical Assistant Certified license issued from Washington State Department of Health
- Ability to obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire
- Pre-hire and annual employee health screening
- Annual influenza vaccine requirement (with exemptions)
