Job Summary
The Medical Assistant–Certified (MA-C) supports providers in delivering high-quality, patient-centered primary care. This role serves as a key member of the care team, assisting with patient intake, clinical quality measures, documentation, referrals, and procedures to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent care. Key duties include rooming patients, obtaining histories and vital signs; tracking and documenting clinical quality measures in the EHR; assisting providers with exams, procedures, and charting; administering medications and immunizations per protocol; coordinating labs, referrals, and specialty care; and delivering excellent customer service using the AIDET model.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved MA program
- Current MA-C license (or MA-Interim with certification within 90 days)
- BLS/CPR required (or within 90 days)
- Ambulatory care experience preferred
