Job Summary
Assess somatic conditions, administer medications within scope of practice, and perform clinical procedures including phlebotomy, IM injections, and TB testing. Interpret program policy for clients, conduct health education classes, and monitor vital signs while maintaining aseptic wound care and urine drug screens. Provide written documentation of observations for Individual Service Plans, stock supplies, and assist physicians with clinical duties. Interpret and explain program policy to clients, integrate therapeutic interventions, and promote a safe environment through equipment maintenance and cleaning. Support the Behavioral Health Division by attending staff meetings and communicating with interdisciplinary team members.
Required Qualifications
- GED or High School Diploma
- Washington State Medical Assistant Certification – MA-C
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug testing and drug testing during employment, to include testing for marijuana
Desired Qualifications
- Behavioral Health or rehabilitation experience
- 6 months working in a residential setting as a medical assistant
