Job Summary
Provide high-quality patient care under provider supervision as a Medical Assistant or CNA in a Family Medicine setting. Responsibilities include verifying patient information, obtaining vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, assisting with examinations and procedures (including injections), maintaining HIPAA-compliant medical records, triaging calls, communicating lab results and provider instructions, coordinating referrals and testing, processing prescriptions per provider instructions, and coordinating with insurers/pharmacies. Maintain CPR certification and pursue any required credentials. Emphasize teamwork, patient service, and professionalism in a fast-paced clinic; Spanish-speaking assistance is encouraged.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of and certification from an accredited Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program
- Current CPR certification, or the ability to obtain certification within four months of hire
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures
- Proficiency with computer systems and electronic medical records (EMR)
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent customer service and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) candidates strongly encouraged to apply
