Job Summary
The Medical Assistant Certified will provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of a physician or physician assistant in a fast-paced clinic environment. Responsibilities include escorting patients to exam rooms, preparing patients for examinations, updating electronic medical records, scheduling follow-up appointments, and performing clerical tasks. The role requires maintaining a professional appearance, possessing knowledge of orthopedic terminology, and having excellent communication skills. While medical assistant certification is strongly preferred, equivalent experience will be considered.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical assistant certification strongly preferred (equivalent experience will be considered)
Desired Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of Orthopedic terminology and anatomy
- Detail oriented with above average organizational skills
- Limited X-Ray Machine Operator (LMXO) certification
Additional Requirements
- Requires frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements
- Requires exposure to communicable diseases and/or bodily fluids which is minimized by the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
