Job Summary
Medical Assistant/ Certified Medical Assistant in a Pulmonology Clinic. Performs patient preparation, assists clinicians with procedures, manages patient reports, prepares instruments, processes prescriptions under clinician direction, administers injections/immunizations, counsels patients by phone, restocks exam rooms, schedules procedures, and documents care and education. Requires CMA certification (AAMA/AMT/NCCT/NHA) and CPR certification by end of month, with ability to train/mentor other staff and maintain a warm, efficient, confidential patient environment. On-site role in Klamath Falls, OR.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Certification from AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT
- CPR certification (AHA) by end of month from date of hire
- Effective communication (oral and written)
- Maintains patient confidentiality
- Ability to document accurately
- Ability to work independently and with medical staff
- Flexibility and adaptability in multi-specialty settings
- Willingness to mentor other medical assistants (preferred)
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification or within six months of hire
