Job Summary
Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant needed at O H Heart Clinic in Klamath Falls, OR. Responsibilities include preparing patients for assessment and treatment, assisting clinicians with office procedures, daily review of patient reports, instrument cleaning and sterilization, processing prescriptions under clinician direction, administering injections/immunizations/medications, telephone counseling of patients, scheduling procedures and referrals, timely documentation of care and education, obtaining patient records, and maintaining a warm, caring environment. Requires CMA/AMT/NHA/NCMA certification and AHA CPR by end of month, along with strong communication, confidentiality, and organizational skills. Must be able to work in multi-specialty settings, handle time constraints, remain calm under stress, and adapt to various situations. On-site, full-time position in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Certification from one of AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT
- AHA CPR certification required by end of month from 60 days of hire
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Ability to work independently and with medical providers in multi-specialty settings
- Flexibility and adaptability in patient care situations
- Preferred CMA certification with mentoring responsibilities
