Job Summary
Perform all aspects of the MA I role, including obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration, under the delegation of a licensed practitioner. Assist in providing patient care to assigned patients while adhering to established policies, procedures, and regulations. Maintain full competency in clinical needs and functions for the assigned clinic or location of work. Complete required certifications upon hire and within 30 days, including the Washington Medical Assistant Certification and National Provider BLS. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants
- Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program
- Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces
- Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
- Washington Medical Assistant Certification
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 6 months healthcare experience
- 6 months Medical Assistant experience
